What would a new 'Life is Strange' game look like?

Source: Wallpaper Abyss

The first Life is Strange was first released back in 2015. Since then, the game got a prequel (Life is Strange Before the Storm), a brand new sequel (Life is Strange 2) and another sequel (Life is Strange True Colors). Lastly, there was a remastering of both Life is Strange 1 and Before the Storm that was released just last year.

In the release of all of these games, the developers behind the games "Deck Nine" have hinted at expansions of their Life is Strange universe as there are reoccurring characters and imagery between all of the games now. Right now Deck Nine is helping develop "The Expanse: A Telltale Series." So, right now there is no concrete information on a sequel, let alone a return of previous characters in the Life is Strange series.

What would a sequel look like?

I think the most logical sequel to the series would fall under what the other mainline titles have done. That is, a new story with easter eggs and references to other characters and events from previous games. I personally don't ever see us getting an "Avengers" style team up of Max, Daniel, and Alex.

What will most likely happen is yet another games under the title of Life is Strange and we meet another new face with different abilities. All the while, the game would make references and remarks about past characters and events.

However, should all of these characters meet, it would make for a pretty epic story. They each bring their own unique powers to the table. With their different "backstories," it would make for an interesting trio to follow along in a new story. Right now, we don't really know for certain what Deck Nine is planning for this series.

Under the umbrella of Square Enix

As far as concrete evidence is concerned, Deck Nine has worked on Life is Strange Before the Storm but not the sequel (Life is Strange 2). So, as far as returning characters, it seems most likely that Max and Alex would be the ones to return. Although, that is more of a publisher thing as they can have whoever they want to develop a game because, it's in their IP.
